Red, white & Blue Popsicles

*~*~* Happy Birthday America!! *~*~*

Happy 4th of July ~ with thanks to all those who sacrificed for our Freedom ~

I wanted to do something fun for the kids that was easy and they will enjoy not only devouring but also helping with in the kitchen! It’s such a great opportunity to teach them and talk about what we are celebrating. So yesterday we made the red, white & blue popsicles. They were so effortless, and my little ones couldn’t wait to get in them once they were set!

Ingredients:

– 3 bananas, frozen
– 1/3 – 1/2 cup milk of choice
– handful of blueberries and raspberries

Instructions:

  1. Blend the bananas and milk in a high speed blender until you have soft ice-cream consistency.
  2. Pour the mixture in popsicle molds and decorate with the blueberries and raspberries, as you push them gently close to the mold so they can be visible
  3. Freeze for 5 hours and take to your next party πŸ˜‰

Note: I didn’t use any sweetener because bananas have a high natural sugar content. If you prefer you can drop a tbsp of honey or maple syrup in the blender. Be warned though that it might change the color of your “white”.Β
